Spring and food
At Last the fruit is starting to form on the strawberry plants. The boss seems to have forgotten that I have a passion for fruit, so when the lady boss let me off the lead on the allotment it didn't take me long to find the strawberry patch. Would you believe it, there were some pink (not yet red) fruits forming. They don't taste as good as the red ones but it's still food.
I only managed 3 unripe strawberries before she caught me - drat, foiled again.
I guess I'll have to wait for the blackcurrants next.
If any of my friends out there haven't tried strawberries I suggest you give them a try - but be discreet about it!!!!

Spring in England
Great Easter.
Garden full of yellow flowers and buzzing insects evrywhere. They are the hardest things to catch, especially with the boss continually shouting 'leave' or 'No'. Are those 'bumbling' furry ones a problem or something?. I see them buzzing in the long grass and I just have to pick them up and shake - what's the big deal?. When the boss says "you'll be sorry" what on earth is he on about.
Seems we're off to the seaside soon - I remember the last time - great fun. I'll keep you posted. I can almost taste the seaweed already.

SNOW!!!!!

What a wonderful week I've had. Thursday morning I woke up and the lady let me out to relieve myself. Would you believe it, the nice green grass had all gone. In its place was this white stuff. I had a few sniffs of it, buried my nose in it, and came up with a pile of white stuff perched on my nose. Didn't taste anything special, but I left footprints in it. All day these white flakes kept falling from the sky, and all day I tried to put a paw print in any untouched patch on what was a green lawn. It's been a great week. The boss was out with his camera trying to take photographs of me - I heard him say "they're all blurred - she's moving too fast" - well that's what we're about, us terriers.
Sunday the lawn turned green again - still it was fun while it lasted.
Got to go now - just saw a mouse under the laurel tree.......ta ta

Stripping
They had me on the ironing board today and started to pull at my coat again. I know I might look slimmer and feel smoother, but do they know how cold it is outside this week. Roll on summer.

The Strip
Well, Christmas has gone and the new toys have been sorted in order of preference.
Today, after a one and a half hour walk up in the hills, where I met an Australian Catlle Dog (not too many of those around these parts), they brought me back home and stood me on the ironing board. Funny sort of thing to do I thought.
All was revealed soon after when after giving me a lovely new rawhide to chew on the boss started to pull at my coat. I must admit it wasn't much fun but I stood for it for a while until the rawhide became boring, then I tried to nip the boss's hand as he pulled at my shoulder hairs.
After about three quarters of an hour the 'strip' ended, and there on the floor was a bucket, and in it was 'my winter coat' - I hope they get me another one. Bad news though, I heard the bass say 'we'll finish the job next week'.
I guess they know what they're doing.

Fast Leaves
Bit of a windy day. Leaves are blowing around the garden so fast that I can't even catch them. Not to worry, I'll settle down with a rawhide and get those last few teeth working.
The stripping I was promised didn't really happen. Seems the hair wouldn't come out too easily so they put it off till a later date. Is that good news?
The village has another border puppy - only 16 weeks old - we met the other day and it gave me a bad time with white teeth snarling at me. I'd sooner be friendly - much more fun.

Thick coat
I heard a whisper from Dad today - "Delta looks like she needs stripping - we'll have a go next weekend".
"Stripping", what's that all about?. I wonder if it involves food - hope so. If anyone out there can let me know then I'd know what to expect.
Mom took me to the allotment today and let me run free amongst the blackcurrant bushes. The twigs make good chewing, slightly fruity taste.Mom didn't seem to appreciate my pruning though.
